SACIDS–ACE Selected candidates for scholarship announced

SACIDS-Africa Centre of Excellence for Infectious Diseases in humans and animals in southern and eastern Africa (SACIDS-ACE) is pleased to announce the names of selected Postdoctoral, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Research MSc (MRes) Fellows. These 23 fellows were selected out of 140 applications that were submitted to Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) and Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). The selection process was conducted by a SACIDS-ACE Panel of assessors drawn from the SACIDS Smart Partnership in Africa and UK.

 

These fellows are young, bright African scientists with an ambition for research excellence leadership in infectious diseases who will undertake research that will contribute to health, food, livelihoods and environment securities at African community, national, regional and continental levels and thereby to the global health and food security agendas who will receive their scholarship from the government of Tanzania through the World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence in Eastern and Southern Africa project (ACE II).

 

On behalf of the Government of Tanzania and the World Bank, SACIDS-ACE congratulates the candidates who have been awarded this fellowships scholarship and conveys best wishes for their bright future.
